How do I determine my bra size after a Mastectomy or Lumpectomy?

After breast cancer surgery, getting the right fit for your bra is important. Wearing the right bra does wonders for your figure, makes you feel more confident and comfortable, and is best for your breast health. Here are three steps to determining the right bra size.

Bra size measurements

Step 1: Determine Your Band Size

While wearing your everyday bra or a non-padded bra, measure around the bottom of the band, directly under your bust. The measuring tape should be level and very snug. Be sure that you are not including any breast tissue to ensure accurate measurement. This is your Band size.

Step 2: Take Your Bust Measurement

Wrap the measuring tape somewhat loosely around the fullest part of your chest (at nipple level). Round to the nearest whole number and indicate which side the measurement is for, either left or right. If you had a lumpectomy, repeat this process for your other breast.

A Certified Mastectomy Fitter will contact you to receive your measurements and schedule a professional fitting. You can also contact us by calling (866) 473-3325.
