Not only can a flu shot protect you from getting the flu, it can prevent you from spreading the flu to others (think about this before you visit grandparents, new babies, and pregnant friends who are at an even higher risk).

The flu vaccine takes about two weeks to be effective, so don’t wait until it’s too late.
